Explain the controlled access process
A gatehouse, induction process or restricted delivery window can affect both arrival and repeat servicing. Describe these requirements when requesting the rental. Identify the authorised site contact and the point where visiting vehicles should report.
Place facilities outside changing work zones
Discuss the intended location with the person responsible for site operations. Separate pedestrian access from vehicle movements and identify any area that must remain clear. Do not assume a standard rental unit is suitable for a specialised or hazardous environment; raise those conditions explicitly.
Shift overlap, shutdown crews or visiting contractors may create a temporary increase in use. Give a realistic picture of the people present at the busiest time rather than just the permanent staff count.
Keep service instructions current
Confirm supplies, servicing intervals and how operational changes will be communicated. If access is suspended or the work zone moves, notify the provider before the next visit. Agree extension and collection procedures early so facilities are not removed while a later work phase still depends on them.
